I would love to love this illustration, but it is too deceiving and inaccurate for me to use. The broad ligament does not "float" as depicted, but instead has a fascial attachments to the pelvis. As the pregnancy progresses, the broad ligament stretches to accommodate the expanding uterus. It would be fabulous if someone could come up with something far more realistic.
